Capt. Shyam Jairam brings to Dufferin Maritime LLP over five decades of distinguished maritime experience, shaped by a rare combination of seagoing expertise, regulatory insight, academic contribution, and leadership.
A proud alumnus of Training Ship Dufferin (1970–72), he sailed with Denholms and rose to the rank of Master, gaining deep operational insight into shipboard command and crew management.
In 1985, he transitioned ashore as Nautical Faculty at Training Ship Rajendra. His tenure as Nautical Surveyor at the Directorate General of Shipping expanded his regulatory expertise.

Conducting Nautical Examinations for Masters and Mates under the Directorate General of Shipping.
